"traditional" feature important to many 4-string players

A must-have feature for a modern 5-string bass. Pioneered in production by Geoff at Modulus, now widely emulated by others.

These strings were developed while Geoff was at Modulus. Modulus no longer uses this formula or 'taper-core' strings. 'Taper-core' strings on the B and E are especially effective in improving intonation as well.

Here's where the traditional body design meets a comfortable, modern-design neck. No 'blocky' neck-joint.

Easy on the eyes, comfortable look and feel.

more flowing, elegant, and sexier than the traditional J.

Figured hardwoods over alder or low-density ash for a variety of aesthetic and sonic shadings.

Developed exclusively for Geoff, these dual-coil pickups, running at 18V (in easy-change external battery compartment), feature only one magnet. This gives a single-coil dynamic, with higher gain than vertical humbucking single-coil designs. The addition of strategically-places steel 'warms' the sound as well.
